Good News for Egg Lovers

For a long time, eggs were given a bad rap because of their high cholesterol, but recent studies appear to have exonerated the egg.  Research has found the cholesterol in eggs has little effect on blood cholesterol.  Also, a recent study followed middle-aged men without dementia for 22 years.  They were given cognitive tests and surveys about their diets.  There was an association between higher egg consumption and better scores on a number of cognitive function tests.  The study also showed no increased risk of dementia for egg eaters.  Other research also found people who ate about 7 eggs a week have a 12% lover risk of stroke than those who ate fewer than 2 eggs per week.
